Mark Cachia-Markham

Flight Instructor

Based: Teesside

Mark gained his PPL at the age of 17 before landing his first job in aviation as a Flight Operations Officer at his local flying school in Malta. He then went on to become a Theoretical Knowledge Instructor while also working as an airline cabin crew with Air Malta flying on the Airbus 319/320 and Boeing 737-300.

Following graduation from the University of Malta, he moved on to the United Kingdom where he gained further qualifications including the Commercial Pilot Licence, Multi-Engine Piston Rating, Multi-Crew Coordination and Jet Orientation Course, the Advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery training, as well as the Flight Instructor Certificate. He is qualified to instruct for the LAPL, PPL and night rating.  

Mark holds a type rating on Embraer E-jets with a UK-based operator.

Outside work, Mark is a keen tennis player and has held several high rankings in the past. He also enjoys the outdoors and canoeing whenever he has some free time.

  • Revalidation: Single Engine Piston (SEP Land)

  • Ratings: Night

  • Endorsements: Variable Pitch Propellers (VP), Retractable Undercarriage (RU),  Electronic Flight Information System (EFIS)

  • Club currency

  • Theoretical Knowledge
